February 2 - NetPlay TV, the London based interactive gaming group, announced its trading update that covers 2010, showing a strong end to the year.
After a particularly rough third quarter, the group managed to end the year "in line with market expectations".
In November 2010, NetPlay placed "renewed focus" on its core live casino product, leading to a significant increase of net gaming revenues in the fourth quarter of the year.
Charles Butler, the CEO of NetPlay TV said that there was no doubt that 2010 was a particularly tough year for the group.
"However, after a successful placing in November, a restructuring of the business and a renewed focus on our core live casino product, we are pleased with the way the business is now performing," he said.
Butler said that with the company now on a stable footing, NetPlay TV looks forward to driving forward its live casino product.? It aims to increase the market activity around its SuperCasino brand and examine ways to launch this brand into our regions.
"We ware particularly pleased with the uptake of our iPhone application, which is a perfect fit for our business and provides another medium for our customers to play seamlessly while watching our games on television or while on the move," he said.
Butler added that with iPad and Android applications on the group's product roadmap, it is believed that 2011 will be "a very exciting year" for mobile gaming and there should be significant growth in that area.
